back for more....
I’ve been back in Colombia for almost a week now, but have managed not to write a single entry so far! It has been a tough adjustment to field life again even though our accommodations are much more lush than last year (we have a kidney bean pool/jacuzzi( though no hot water hahaa) a GORGEOUS view of the area and lovely caretakers Julian and Paula who help us load/unload daily and make our delicious meals...). Still, I have been completely exhausted after 9 hours in the field and haven’t much felt like keeping up with a journal. I seem to have contracted systemic poison ivy (or something of that nature/in that plant family) which hasn’t helped matters as I’m needing to rely more and more on Benadryl to stay sane.
